Sister Kathleen Jane Moran, CSJ, (Sister James Paula) in the 58th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Sunday, June 22, 2025.  Devoted daughter of the late Francis Patrick and Honora Katherine (Gormley) Moran. Sister Kathleen is survived by her sisters and brother, Sheila Ashenfelder, Kevin Moran, and Claire Peterson with remembrance of her late husband, William (Bill) and their late son David Peterson.  She is also survived by her cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and her Sisters in the Congregation.

Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Joseph School, Lynn; Our Lady Help of Christians High School, Newton; and Principal at Mount St. Joseph Academy, Brighton. Sister Kathleen also ministered as Campus Minister at Aquinas Jr. College, Retreat Director of the Sisters of St. Joseph Retreat Center, Cohasset; served in the Congregation Leadership and for 20 years as Pastoral Minister at St. Luke Parish, Belmont.

Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Friday, June 27, 2025, 9:15 to 10:00 a.m.  Prayer Service at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at the Motherhouse at 10:15 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, 180 Pond St., Natick, MA.  Arrangements by Norton, McKinney and Lawler Funeral Home, Framingham.
