MetroWest Chamber of Commerce to hold Annual Meeting at The Verve Hotel Boston Natick

On Wednesday, November 15, 2023, the MetroWest Chamber of Commerce will hold its 128th Annual Meeting and Awards Gala at The Verve Hotel Boston Natick.  The theme of this year’s event is ‘Connecting Businesses – Investing in Communities’ with a focus on MetroWest’s businesses and the importance of investing in the community. Special guest speakers are Michael McAuliffe, Chairman and CEO of Middlesex Savings Bank, and State Representative Priscila Sousa. Michael McAuliffe will be speaking about Middlesex Savings Bank’s focus on community and its growth over the years. Rep. Priscila Sousa will also be speaking about the community and local businesses, and how their relationship is vital to the success and sustainability of the other.

The event will also recognize the following 2023 MetroWest Chamber of Commerce annual awards:

The Business Leader of the Year Award is given to recognize the specific leadership achievements of a MetroWest business leader who demonstrates effective leadership and civic involvement as hallmarks of the success enjoyed by their company.

The Small Business of the Year Award traditionally is given to recognize the important contributions made by small businesses to the creation of new jobs and economic opportunities, as well as community involvement in MetroWest.

The Non-Profit Partner of the Year will be given to an organization committed to building and inspiring the MetroWest Region, recognizing that the contributions made by these organizations strengthen our community.

The Emerging Leader of the Year Award will be given to a person characterized as someone who is making an impact both professionally and personally in the MetroWest Region, with great potential for leadership and community service.

The Peter Barbieri ‘Service Above Self’ is awarded each year either to an individual or institution where service was provided first before thinking of oneself or the institution. The award is named for Peter Barbieri who has served on the Chamber in varying roles for 28 years.

The Chamber Ambassador of the Year is selected based upon a long-term commitment to sustainable growth at the Chamber.  It recognizes the positive impact of our team member’s outreach to other chamber members, yielding a stronger membership base.

This year’s award winners are:

Business Leader of the Year – Robert Valair, Staples, Inc.

Non-Profit Partner of the Year – Daniel’s Table, Sandra Montesino, ED

Emerging Leader of the Year – Reyad Shah, Downtown Framingham Inc.

Small Business of the Year – JVF Solutions, James Feudo

Peter Barbieri “Service Above Self” Award – Reverend Dr. J. Anthony Lloyd, Greater Framingham Community Church

Ambassador of the Year – Charlie Pasewark, Realtor, SRES, KW Boston MetroWest
