Sister M. Teresa Lucy O.Carm., 82, passed into eternal life at St. Patrick’s Manor, Framingham, MA, on Tuesday night, September 5, 2023, in the 61st year of her religious life.

Mary Angela Bolognese was born on December 9, 1940, in East Boston, MA, one of four children born to Ottavio Bolognese from Italy, and Lucy Amarosa from Lynn, MA. She was pre-deceased by her brother, Sabatino, and survived by her brother, Ottavio, her sister, Angela Bouteldja, and several nieces and nephews.

Sr. Lucy entered the Congregation on September 8, 1962, received the habit on April 15, 1963, professed first vows on April 19, 1965, and professed final vows on December 8, 1972. She ministered in various areas including housekeeping, laundry, refectory, activities, and as Eucharistic Minister. She served at St. Joseph’s Seminary, Cathedral Faculty House, and Mater Christi Seminary. She was also missioned at St. Ann Home (Dover, NH), St. Francis Home (Laconia, NH), Our Lady’s Haven (Fairhaven, MA), Mt. Carmel Home (NYC, NY), Marian Manor (Boston, MA) l985-2020, where in 2020 she was admitted as a resident. On June 7, 2021, Sr. Lucy was transferred to the assisted living convent at St. Patrick’s Manor (Framingham, MA) and eventually needed skilled nursing care. A friendly person, Sr. Lucy enjoyed moving about the Home in her wheelchair, visiting the residents and staff and, of course, the Gift Shop, as she was always an ardent shopper! She was very kind to the residents, often bringing them little treats during her visits with them.

Family and friends will honor and remember Sr. Lucy’s life by gathering for visiting hours on Sunday, September 10th in the Holy Family Chapel of St. Patrick’s Manor, 863 Central Street, Framingham, from 2-5PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning the chapel at 9:45AM. Interment will follow in Queen of Carmel Cemetery, 600 Woods Rd., Germantown, NY at 2:00PM.
