Carol Stearns, age 76 of Oakland, FL, passed peacefully on March 30, 2023. She was married for 57 years to the love of her life John A Stearns.

Born in Framingham, MA daughter of Barbara Ruth (Porter) Eaton and Michael D’Amato. She is survived by her four children: John Porter Stearns and his wife Laura of Vero Beach, FL; Joy Ruth Stearns and her wife Lisa Culham of Minneola, FL; Justin Ralph Stearns and his wife Stacy of Oviedo, FL; Jamie Eaton Stearns and her brother: Michael Eaton of Las Vegas, NV. Carol leaves 8 beautiful grandchildren: Zachery Stearns, Brandon Stearns, Alexis Stearns, Collin Stearns (D), Caden Stearns, Cullen Avner, Nora Stearns, Abbie Gail Stearns, and Jacob Stearns. Her life will continue to be remembered by her great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and family.

Carol found pride in her many security positions in Framingham (Child World, Sears & Keefe Regional Technical High School) and at Sudbury’s 99 Restaurant. She was a Special Police officer along with her husband for the town of Sudbury and in 1982 they elected her their first female Constable. After relocating to Orlando, Carol worked numerous jobs until retiring as a Notary Public.

Carol enjoyed being a landlord. Starting in Sudbury, she rented the 3rd floor of the family home to East Coast Aero Tech students. While in FL, she had multiple rental properties and continued to open her personal home to numerous tenants for over 20 years. She loved getting to know people and was always available to help them in any way she could. She was a surrogate mom to so many that will never forget her.

Carol’s favorite times were spent with family and friends for birthdays, 4th of July picnics, family reunions, Christmas celebrations, summer vacations in Hampton Beach, visiting Walt Disney World or just talking around the kitchen table.

A celebration of life will be held for Carol at 10 am Friday, June 2nd at the First Baptist Church, 1013 Worcester Rd, Framingham MA 01701. Immediately afterward, there will be an inurnment at the Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove Street, Framingham. Please post n share. All are welcome to attend.
