FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a Framingham man on a drunk driving charge, after he crashed his vehicle into a traffic light pole at 2:44 a.m. on Monday, April 17.

The single-vehicle crash happened at 2:13 a.m. at 228 Waverley Street early Monday morning.

Police arrested Nestor Cerritos, 37, of 300 Grant Street of Framingham.

He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, marked lanes violation, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle while in possession of an open container of alcohol, and possession of a Class B drug.

The driver “was determined to be operating under the influence of alcohol,” said the Framingham Police spokesperson.

“He was also found in possession of cocaine,” said Lt. Rachel Mickens.
