NATICK – The Town of Natick has installed a new Soofa signs in Natick Center.

“This digital, e-ink (ie. kindle-like screen) is intended to provide both [1] local information & [2] wayfinding map. This is part of a larger effort to modernize & improve our Town-wide communications,” said the Town in a social media post this morning, April 16.

The Town of Natick will use the Soofa sign to announce critical alerts, conduct interactive polls, post community events, provide dynamic updates from the MBTA, post weather news, etc.

This was a joint initiative by the Town of Natick & Natick Center Cultural District

It was fully funded by a state grant from the MA Department of Housing & Community Development

The Town said it will adhere “to all Town by-laws, given it’s intended use to communicate critical public safety matters.”
