Team Framingham Send-Off Event To Be Held On Marathon Monday; 23 Runners Have Raised $153,957 Thus Far

FRAMINGHAM – The Team Framingham Steering Committee will host a “send-off” event for our 23 team runners on Marathon Monday morning as they gather for the bus ride to the starting line of the 2023 Boston Marathon in Hopkinton.

The send-off event will be held on Monday April 17 from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m at the Framingham Public School bus depot located at 165 Fountain Street in Framingham behind the Loring Arena.

Framingham friends of our Team Framingham 2023 runners, charity partners, and friends and families of

team runners and all Framingham runners participating in the marathon are invited to attend.

FREE COW BELLS FOR USE DURING THE MARATHON WILL BE DISTRIBUTED!!!

As of Saturday morning April 15th , One Boston Day, team runners have raised $153,957 for the 5 charities.

The 9 plus year fundraising total now exceeds $905,000!!

Team Framingham Steering Committee Chair Mike Bower in announcing the send off event stated “we greatly appreciate the outstanding support provided to Team Framingham and our runners by NRT Busing, the school bus vendor for the Framingham Public Schools. NRT Busing has provided transportation for 3 of our point-to-point training runs this year and the ride to Hopkinton on Marathon Monday. NRT Busing has been there to support our team for the past 4 years. We greatly appreciate our partnership with NRT Busing.”

Please join the bus depot on Monday morning to cheer the team on and encourage them as they get set to embark on their 26.2 mile journey from Hopkinton to Boston. Pick up a cow bell or two to use along the course during the Marathon which will start at 10 a.m. Monday in Hopkinton.
