FRAMINGHAM – A man on Water Street is out $63,000 after a check he was given for a forklift, turned out to be fraudulent, according to Framingham Police.

The incident was reported to Framingham Police yesterday, April 6 at 7:21 p.m. by an individual at 801 Water Street in the Nobscot section of the City of Framingham.

“A forklift was sold and paid for with a fraudulent check,” said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.

The check was for $63,000, said the Framingham Police spokesperson.

Framingham Police are investigating, so no other information was released.
