ASHLAND – My name is Preston Crow, and I am running for the Select Board. I moved to Ashland in 1999, and I love this town.

Whether walking in the Town Forest, bicycling with the Ashland Bike Club, shopping at the Farmer’s Market, or enjoying the events and resources at the Ashland Library, this town is wonderful. My wife, Catherine, and I are raising our son Mason here. He is now at the Middle School, and we’re thrilled with the support he receives in our outstanding schools.

I have served fifteen years on the Planning Board, including many as chair. I always invited comments from residents about whatever issue was before the board; I value making sure that everyone feels heard before decisions are made.

I was also a founding member of the Sustainability Committee, and I currently serve on the Upper Charles Trail Committee and the Conservation Commission. I am now seeking to bring my experience to the Select Board.

Today, Ashland is at a transition point. With many projects wrapping up, we’ll now select the projects to focus on going forward, such as the Upper Charles Trail and the Cadillac Paint Park. We are also just starting to implement the Net Zero 2040 plan. We have a new Comprehensive Plan in progress that will help guide these decisions.

I very much want to hear what you want to see in Ashland, so please email, text, or call me (pc-select23@votecrow.com; 508-250-6253). I would love to serve Ashland on the Select Board, and I ask for your vote.
