FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High softball team won its season opener. The Flyers defeated Waltham High 15-2 in 5 innings.

Senior Amber Welch went 2-3 with 3 runs scored and 2 RBI.

Shortstop Hannah Hoffman had 1 HR and 2 RBI. 

Starting pitcher sophomore Kayla Goodridge had 3 RBI and 3 runs scored. She also had 5 strikeouts, and got the win on the mound.

Senior Johnna Maloney had 2 hits, 2 RBI, and 2 runs scored.

She also pitched the last 2 innings and got 2 Ks. 

Framingham’s record is 1-0 under Head Coach Erin Powers.

Next game is home against Lincoln Sudbury on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
