FRAMINGHAM – With 4 returning varsity players, the Framingham High boys volleyball team were a bit tentative in game one against a strong Newton North team, said head coach Emily Viti.

Struggling to serve in and struggling to earn points on offense Framingham stepped away from game one focused on the positives and focused on improvement, said Coach Viti.

The Flyers lost the season opener 3-0 to the Tigers.

Game scores were 25-9, 25-21, 25-18

“We recognized our serve receive was strong and that we could build on that,” said Coach Viti. “Stepping away from a power mentality we shifted to spot focused offense.  This allowed us to build our confidence and perform at a higher level.”

“Feeling focused, in control and confident we are ready to take on Keefe Technical,” on April 3, said the head coach.
