FRAMINGHAM – A pedestrian was struck on Route 9 last night, March 29.

The man was struck about 7:45 p.m.near the Walmart area of Route 9 at 140 Worcester Road.

The driver of the vehicle did stop said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

The man was not in a crosswalk, when he was struck on the state highway, said Lt. Mickens, Thursday morning.

Framingham Fire Engine 5, Ambulance 1 & Field Supervisor 3 responded to the pedestrian struck, said Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.

“On arrival, companies treated a 38-year-old male with a significant lower leg injury, after being struck by a motor vehicle,” said Chief Dutcher.

He was transported to Brigham and Women’s in Boston with non-life-threatening injuries, said Lt. Mickens.

No other information was released, as it is still under investigation.
