FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested an Ashland man on multiple drug distribution and assault charges on Monday morning, March 28.

Police arrested on Hollis Street at 11:28 a.m. Josed Baez, 39, of 17 Fruits Street of Ashland.

Police were called to Hollis Street for a well-being check, and after an investigation found Baez in “possession of baggies containing substances consistent with cocaine, heroin and various prescription pills,” said Framingham Police Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“Baez assaulted officers in an attempt to conceal the narcotics,” said Lt. Mickens to SOURCE.

Baez was charged with assault & battery on a police officer, drug distribution of a Class B drug (subsequent offense), possession of a Class C drug, assault, possession of a Class A drug, assault, and possession of Cocaine with intent to distribute (subsequent charge).

SOURCE requested the booking photo, as the charges fit the news outlet’s policy for publishing a booking photo, but the Police Department said none was available.

The police officers were not injured, said Lt. Mickens.
