FRAMINGHAM – For the second time this week, residents on McAlee Avenue have a water main break.

The latest one happened after 5 a.m. today, March 23.

The first one this week was Tuesday afternoon, March 21.

McAlee is located in the Coburnville-Tripoli neighborhoods, between Routes 135 and 126.

Framingham DPW Director said this break is about 30 feet from the one earlier this week, today, March 23.

Lewis anticipated it will be 4 to 5 hours to complete the repairs.

He said more than just McAlee is experiencing brown water in the neighborhood this morning.

On Wednesday, DPW Director Lewis said the McAlee water main is from 1945.

“There’s been at least 3 other breaks on the same section of pipe,” said Director Lewis to SOURCE Wednesday morning.

“We are looking to replace that pipe in the next couple of years,” said Lewis.
