1 A nor-easter is hitting MetroWest today into Wednesday. As of 6:45 a.m. it is still rain, but heavy snow is forecasted with possible 60 mile per hour winds.

The National Weather Service in Boston has called a Winter Storm warning through 8 a.m. on Wednesday.

Framingham Public Schools has called for an early release today.

UPDATED: The Memorial Building and the City’s libraries will close today at 1 p.m.

3. Framingham Superintendent of Schools Bob Tremblay announced yesterday that Framingham High will gets its 5th principal since 2014, as Carrie Banach will retire. Supt. Tremblay has decided to give the job to acting principal Amy Gerade with no formal search.

One of the nine elementary schools will now have a new principal and a new vice principal for the 2023-24 school year.
