FRAMINGHAM – Temple Beth Am held its annual Purim carnival on Sunday, March 5.

Purim is a holiday that celebrates the Jewish people being saved from persecution more than 2,0000 year ago,

It is one of the most joyous Jewish holidays sometimes called a Jewish Mardi Gras or Jewish Halloween.

Families dress in costumes, play games, do crafts, and eat food.

EventGo2Guy Craig Sutton supplied music and games for the carnival.

There was a costume parade and free food for all attendees, including hot dogs, pizza, and cupcakes.

Rabbi Sam Blumberg was dressed as Queen Esther.
