FRAMINGHAM – Seven individuals were displaced and a restaurant is currently closed after a Sunday night fire in Framingham, said the Framingham Fire Chief Michael Dutcher.
Last night at 11:15, Framingham received an call for a fire at 795 Concord Street.
Framingham Engine 5, Engine 2, Tower 1, Rescue 1 & Car 2 responded.
“Caller stated that she saw smoke coming from the walls in the kitchen,” said Framingham Fire Chief Dutcher, Monday morning, February 13.
“Engine 5 investigated and found fire in the walls,” said Chief Dutcher.

“A working fire was transmitted, Engine 1 responded as the Rapid Intervention Team. Due to the type of building construction, a balloon frame building, Command ordered an additional engine company, and Engine 3 responded,” said the Framingham Fire Chief.
Multiple handlines were deployed and crews located the seat of the fire and made quick work extinguishing, said Chief Dutcher.
The building has the La Pupusa Loca & Mexican Food restaurant on the ground floor and residential units above, explained the fire chief.
“Seven people are displaced and the restaurant is currently closed. Damage is estimated at $50,000,” said Chief Dutcher.

There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
” A really good stop by Group 1,” said Chief Dutcher to SOURCE Monday morning. “We hope the business is able to reopen very quickly and the residents can get back in their homes.”
