FRAMINGHAM – Urania M. Filipe, 87, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Born February 20, 1935 in Sao Miguel, Azores, she was the daughter of Clemente Melo Borges and Gloria (Oliveira Melo) Borges.

Fluent in four languages, Mrs. Filipe taught French and Spanish in the Framingham School System, primarily at Walsh Middle School for 21 years
 
Urania is survived by her children Leonor deMelo Filipe and her husband Louis Edward Hinckley of Wayland; Debora Filipe Quinn and her husband Joseph William Bosia of Westford; Robin Filipe Passerello of Bristol, RI; proud Grandmother of Jake Filipe Quinn, Ryan Filipe Quinn, Gabrielle Filipe Passerello, Robert John Passerello III and Lydia YingYing Filipe Hinckley.  Urania is predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Octavio Cardoso Gomes Filipe and her beloved brother Manuel Borges.
 
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 28 at 11 a.m. at St. Bridget Parish, 15 Wheeler Avenue, Framingham. 

Burial at St. Stephen Cemetery in Framingham will be private.  

Calling hours will be held Friday, January 27 from 5-7 p.m. at the Advantage Funeral Home, 318 Union Avenue, Framingham, MA 01702.
