NATICK – The Town of Natick is advertising for a Director of Facilities Management.

his non-union management position will receive day to day direction from the Executive Director of Public Works & Facilities with overall direction provided by the Superintendent of Schools and the Town Administrator. The Director of Facilities Management is responsible for assessing the condition of town owned buildings/facilities, developing short and long term strategies for prevention and predictive maintenance and executing projects.

esponsibilities include management, administrative, supervisory, and technical work, planning, directing and managing  operations of the Facilities Department, including administrative, supervisory and technical work related to building safety of all buildings in the town; facilities planning, renovation, construction, energy conservation measures and efficiencies, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, preventative and regular maintenance. Prepares and implements annual repair and maintenance program to ensure that the town and school buildings are maintained. Responsible for the proper adherence to the Public Construction and Procurement laws. Performs all other related work as required.

The salary range is $120,000 to $135,000. Salary is commensurate with education and experience. Position will remain open until filled. 

Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years of experience of which 3 years were in a supervisory position. 

Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent job experience.

Certified Mass. Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO) is desirable. –

Knowledge of the principles and practices of facilities management as well as previous leadership experience in facility support services including skills such as financial, asset management, and capital planning management preferred.
