NATICK – The Town of Natick is advertising for an Assistant Director of Programs & Services in the Department of Community Services.
he purpose of this position is to ensure the effective oversight and operations of programs and services offered by Community Services Department. The position is responsible for developing, managing, and evaluating direct & supportive services, (teen center, adaptive programs, aquatics, drama & nature) to meet the needs of a diverse and multi-generational constituency.
The Parks & Recreation position is also responsible for training and supervising staff and volunteers, as well as managing grants and program budgets.
Salary range is $65,000 to $78,000. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree required in Social Services, Human Services, Recreation Services, or related field, as well as, a minimum of three (3) years related experience. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years experience working with teens/youth and planning activities. Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Candidates should have current First Aid/CPR/AED certifications or the ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment
Candidates should have Life Guard Instructor Certification or ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment.
Experience managing a waterfront preferred
