FRAMINGHAM – The Tigers of Newton North defeated the Framingham High boys track & field in their season opener at Reggie Lewis Center in Boston yesterday, December 15.

Newton North easily won the meet 88-12.

“Jasen Jean-Louis was superb with 2nd in the high jump and long jump,”‘ said Head Coach Chris Collins. “Christian Marshall ran an excellent hurdles race for second.”

The Flyers are back at the Reggie Lewis Center on December 22 for another meet.

Jasen Jean-Louis finished second in the indoor high jump at 5-feet, 2-inches.

Jean-Louis also finished second in the long jump, with a leap of 17-feet, 7.5 inches. Amir Bahador took third place. Newton’s Brendan O’Guin won the race with a leap of 20 feet plus.

Sejjemba-So Lewis finished second in the 800-meter race. His time was 1:41.85 minutes. Scott Havey of Newton North High won the event in 1:35.71 minutes.

Christian Marshall finished second in the high hurdles in 8.76 seconds. Newton North’s Oliver Altindag won the race in 8.61 seconds.

Flyer Andrew Feinblatt, Andrew finished third in the 2-mile event. His time was 10:22.43 minutes. Newton North’s Alex Hrycyszyn won the race in 9:48.47 minutes. His teammate took second.

Calvin Hodge placed third in the dash in 7.18 seconds. Newton’s Everton Muir won the race in 6.66 seconds. Tigers took second place too.
