FRAMINGHAM – Albert J. “Jay” McAnulty, Jr., 75, of Holliston and formerly of Framingham died Tuesday, November 22, 2022, after a lengthy illness.

Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Albert & Elda (Tomasi) McAnulty, Sr., and the beloved husband of Susan (DiMuzio) McAnulty.

Jay was a graduate of Framingham North High School and went on to attend Northeastern University and Quinsigamond Community College before starting a career in roofing.

He married the love of his life Sue in 1967, and together they raised their family in Framingham before moving to Holliston.

Jay loved sports, he was a softball umpire for many years for the town of Framingham and several surrounding towns. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed his trips to Myrtle Beach.

A family guy at heart, Jay is survived by his wife Sue, his daughters Brandi Linden & her husband Shawn of Sturbridge, and Andrea of Sturbridge, his grandchildren, Jonathan, Alexis and Robert Wright, and Sophia Linden, his siblings, Bob & his wife Myra of Boylston, and Valerie Murphy & her husband Mark of Newbury, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Jay was predeceased by his brother John.

Family & friends will honor and celebrate Jay’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Friday, December 2 from 4-7 p.m.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 3rd in St. George Church, 74 School St. Saxonville at 10 a.m.

Interment will be private.
