The final game of the season is scheduled for Tuesday, November 1 on the road against the Rockets of Needham High School.

A unified sports team combines athletes with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team.

“It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding,” according to Special Olympics.

The Framingham unified basketball program is co-ed, and first began at Framingham High with the 2018-2019 season.

Framingham High has a unified basketball team in the fall and a unified track & field team in the spring.
