MILTON – The Framingham High boys soccer team defeated Milton High on the road today, October 27, in their last regular season game.
Final score was 1-0 Flyers, and now await the post-season seedings for the tournament.
It was a great effort by the undermanned flyers in very windy conditions, said coach Jon Wood.
“The game was scoreless until the 75th minute when junior midfielder Luiz Barbosa collected a deflection 25 yards from goal and fired a perfect shot into the top left corner,” said Coach Wood.

The Flyers were led defensively by junior Ryan Viana and senior captain Liam Gilbert, said Coach Wood.
Junior goalie Sam Alexander had several key saves and earned the shutout for Framingham, said Coach Wood.
The Flyers finish the regular season with a record of 11-2-5, under head coach Dan Avery,.
Earlier this month, Framingham clinches the Bay State League Carey division title.
Earlier this week, the Flyers lost to the #1-ranked team in Division 1 the Needham Rockets 4-2.
Framingham, as of Tuesday morning, before the loss to Needham, was ranked #6 in Division 1 in the MIAA power rankings.
The post-season tournament seedings come out next week from the MIAA.
