FRAMINGHAM _ Framingham City Council Chair Phil Ottaviani Jr. and his wife School Committee member Valerie Ottaviani hosted a fundraiser last night, October 26 for James Arena-DeRosa, the Democratic Nominee for Massachusetts House of Representatives Middlesex 8th District.
Arena-DeRosa is running for State Representative to give Holliston, Hopkinton, Millis, and Sherborn a voice in the Massachusetts State House, connect the concerns of local leaders with the state government, and deliver real results back to our communities, according to his campaign.
In attendance at the fundraiser was Senate President Karen Spilka and State Rep. Jack Patrick Lewis.
Also in attendance was Chris Murphy of the Laborers 609 and Rick Anketell from the Carpenters 336.

“James is a lifelong public servant with decades of experience in giving a voice to the voiceless. As a non-profit leader, U.S. Department of Agriculture agency official, and Peace Corps administrator, James is uniquely qualified to be our State Representative,” according to his website. “As someone who deeply values community, James has remained involved locally, serving as a member of the Holliston Finance Committee and chairing the Holliston Democratic Town Committee. When his lawyers told him that he could not keep his local positions due to his federal appointments, he remained involved as a little league baseball coach and school volunteer.”
Tuesday, November 8 is election day, although registered voters can vote early and by mail too.
