WORCESTER – The Framingham State men’s soccer played to a 0-0 tie with Worcester State in a match-up of the MASCAC’s two undefeated teams yesterday, october 22.

With the draw the Rams improve to 5-0-1 in the MASCAC and clinch at least a share of the 2022 MASCAC Regular Season Championship. 

-Framingham State is now 10-4-2 overall.

Worcester State drops to 6-3-6 overall and 3-0-3 in the MASCAC

HOW IT HAPPENED: 

  • Both the Lancers and the Rams were evenly matched with 14 total shots recorded, while Worcester led the way with seven of those shots on goal in comparison to Framingham’s two.  
  • Lancer goalkeeper Andy Ramirez played the entire 90 minutes and saved both shots on goal, while Framingham’s James Hartshorn saved all seven.  
  • First-year forward Brady Iovanni & junior midfielder Manny Ramirez both had three shots, while junior defender Matt Alzamora led the team with two shots on goal.  
  • Framingham’s Gustav Hemmingsen led the Rams with three shots.  

UP NEXT: 

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Wheaton College in non-conference action Tuesday afternoon.
