FRAMINGHAM – On Monday, October 17, 2022, we lost Robert (Bob) P. Douglass, 64, of Blackstone.

. He was a caring, loving father, partner, brother, and friend. Bob was born in Framingham, MA August 3, 1958. He was the son of the late George W and Marie R. (McAvay) Douglass. He was married to Margaret Doreen (Frieze) Douglass for 16 years who predeceased him in 2007. He leaves his partner of over 10 years, Trish (Borges) Wiseman of Blackstone.

Bob grew up in Natick, and was a graduate of Natick High School. He worked for many years as a professional auto mechanic for J & J Auto in Southboro where he made lots of friends. He also worked on boat engines and heavy equipment repairs as well. Bob was a caring and loyal friend who was fortunate enough to have several lifelong friends.

Bob loved his family and was devoted to visiting his aging parents. He was a great father and loved his children. Bob will be dearly missed by the friends and family he leaves behind to go to eternal rest with his parents and beloved wife. He was someone you could always count on. Bob was always laughing and cracking jokes to get a smile out of the ones he loved. He really loved NASCAR and had an interest in aviation, model airplanes, and boating. Bob always loved his pets especially his dog, Bruno who will stay in his heart forever.

Robert (Bob) P. Douglass is survived by his children Julee Douglass of Framingham, James Douglass and his wife, Nicole of Salem, NH, stepdaughter Erika Johnson of Framingham and his youngest “baby girl” Amy Douglass of Blackstone, MA. He also leaves his grandchildren Giovanni Douglass, Giancarlo Gonzalez, Damien Keefe, Noah and Makenna Douglass, Vanessa Smart, Doug Whittington and Briana Silva. Bob was the youngest of four siblings; Jeanne Douglass and her husband David Brower of Marlborough, MA, Janet Douglass of Concord, NH., George Douglass III and his partner Mary Krause of North Brookfield. He is also survived by his niece Erica Abubaker and her husband, Rajab and their children Treyson, Nailah and Yacoub, and his nephew Justin Muri and his wife, Kelly.

Family and friends will honor and remember Bob’s life by gathering at the Edgell Grove Chapel in Edgell Grove Cemetery, 53 Grove St., Framingham, on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at 2:00pm.
