FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Flyers football team was hoping to improve on its performance in the season opener against Walpole High, in which they lost 56-0, in their home opener on Friday night.

But the first half of the game at Bowditch Field looked like a repeat of the Walpole game with Milton High taking a 40-0 lead at halftime.

But in the second half, the Wildcats of Milton High scored just 7 points, and Framingham scored its first points of the season, with a touchdown by Ben Lincoln.

Milton’s kicker struggled most of the night, and missed several extra points, and Framingham could not convert after its touchdown either, so the final score was 47-6.

There was a good crowd at the game, and both the varsity and junior varsity cheerleaders were on the sidelines for the game.

Framingham is now 0-2, under new head coach David Wright.

The Flyers will travel to Braintree for a game on Friday, September 23. Kick off at 6 p.m.
