FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham has hired an assistant conservation agent.

The new City of Framingham Assistant Conservation Agent is Dominic Portelli, who lives in Framingham.

He started on September 12.

His annual salary is $55,246.

Portelli graduated from the University of Vermont in May 2021 with a 3.8 GPA.

He has a Bachelor of Science in Community Development and Applied Economics.

He worked as a Conservation Steward  for the Sudbury Valley Trustees Conservation Corps, said City of Framingham’s Director of Planning & Community Development Sarkis Sarkisian on Friday.

He was the only applicant for the position, said Sarkisian.

The City’s HR Director did not return an email so his starting salary and starting date is unknown, at this time.

The previous agent left for the private sector earlier this year. The former Conservation Agent retired earlier this year.
