5 Things You Need To Know Today in Framingham: Monday, August 29, 2022

1 Today is the first day of school for students at Keefe Technical High School in Framingham.

The regional vocational-technical high school has students in grades 9-12 from Framingham, Ashland, Natick, Holliston, & Hopkinton.

Framingham High freshmen have orientation on Tuesday. The first day of school for Framingham Public School students in grades 1-12 is Wednesday, August 31.

2. CITY of FRAMINGHAM MEETINGS (all are remote unless noted)

  • Keefe Tech School Committee will meet tonight at 7 at the high school at 750 Winter Street.

3. There is about a week until the Massachusetts primary election on September 6.

Early voting began on Saturday at the Memorial Building. Only 30 people voted during the 6-hours. Early voting continues today from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early voting concludes ob Friday, September 2.

5. Many of the Framingham High sports team already have tryouts under way but the dance team will begin tryout this week.

BONUS: Just a reminder that the off ramps at the intersection of Route 9 and 126 will be closed tonight and for a couple more days as MassDOT continues it work to fix the drainage issue at that intersection.
