FRAMINGHAM – Sister Edna Marie Barbadoro, CSJ, in her 74th year as a beloved member of the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston, died Tuesday, August 23, 2022. 

Devoted daughter of the late Amedeo A. and Edna O. (Tedeschi) Barbadoro, and loving sister of the late Helen Brescia and Anne Duca.  Sister Edna Marie is survived by her cherished nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews, and her Sisters in the Congregation. 

Formerly missioned as a teacher at St. Ann School, Neponset; St. Aidan School, Brookline; as a staff nurse and head nurse at Bethany Hospital, Framingham; infirmary nurse at the Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, Brighton; staff nurse at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Brighton; and on staff at Home Health Services, Newton; and for many years volunteered at Good Samaritans, Framingham

. Before entering the Sisters of St. Joseph, Sister served as an Army Nurse in World War II.

Visiting hours at Holy Family Chapel, Sisters of St. Joseph Motherhouse, 631 Cambridge Street, Brighton, MA, Monday, August 29, 2022, 9:15 to 10 a.m.  

Prayer Service at 10 a.m. followed by the Funeral Mass and Prayers of Final Commendation at the Motherhouse at 10:15 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery, 180 Pond Street, Natick, MA.

Arrangements by Norton Funeral Home, Framingham.
