1 A heat wave is forecasted for the next several days. It is expected to be 90 degrees today, Saturday, & Sunday.

Lake Waushakum Beach and Learned’s Pond beach are still closed due to high bacteria counts. The two beaches have been closed for a week.

Saxonville Beach is open this weekend, but there are no lifeguards.

2. Tonight is the final Friday night concert of the season. Tonight is a make-up for the concert cancelled on August 5.

Music starts at 6 p.m. at the Framingham Centre Common. Tonight’s performer is Memphis Sun Mafia who will perform an Elvis tribute show.

3. Parks & Recreation will hold its 4th community corner today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Weston Aqueduct at 698 Water Street


4. The Christa McAuliffe Library will hold a paper airplane workshop today from 3 to 4 p.m.

5. The Framingham Public Library is holding a summer reading wrap up party on Saturday at the main Framingham Library from 2 to 4 p.m. While there, check out the five paintings the library is auctioning off. Click here to bid on the art.
