FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police are reminding individuals to watch their valuables when shopping, after a woman’s wallet was stolen from her pocketbook while shopping at Target in Framingham.

The larceny was reported at 3:39 p.m. yesterday, August 3 at 400 Cochituate Road.

A “woman’s wallet was taken out of her pocketbook,  which was in her shopping cart,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

The woman’s credit cards were used at Walmart to the amount of $5,000, said Lt. Mickens.

No suspects have been identified yet, said Lt. Mickens.

Shoppers should never leave their pocketbooks unattended in a shopping cart at the supermarket or a retail store. Shoppers should also always have their pocketbooks closed or zippered shut when shopping.
