1 Trash is on a one-day delayed collection schedule this week due to Independence Day holiday on Monday. If your normal trash day is Wednesday, it will be Thursday this week, for example.

2. Massachusetts Department of Public Health is holding a public hearing on Dallas-based Tenet Health’s plans to close the oncology and radiation oncology departments at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.

Mayor Charlie Sisitsky sent a strongly-worded statement to the state on why the cancer center needs to stay open for at least two more years or be sold to another medical group.

The hearing is tonight at 6 p.m. in Nevins Hall in the Memorial Building at 150 Concord Street. It is expected to last 3 hours and the public can speak.

4. Bertucci’s is rolling back prices today and tomorrow to the 1980s to celebrate its 40th anniversary. Special menu only and must dine in. Click here for more details.

5. As part of the Framingham Public Library’s summer programming, the Traveling Lantern Theater will perform Camp Ocean at 3 p.m. at the main Framingham Library. It is free.

The 3 p.m. show is Camp Ocean. “Join Mr. Sharky, your ocean camp counselor, on a fish-fact-filled voyage to the deep to search for buried treasure,” said the Library.

BONUS: Speaking of the Library, the Framingham Public Library Foundation and the Framingham Public Library is hosting Noche de Fiesta on Saturday, July 23.

The event is free, but the first 500 people who register will receive a free FIESTA bag at the event. More than 100 people had registered by July 5.
