1 At last night’s Massachusetts Department of Public Health hearing on Dallas-based Tenet Health’s plans to close the oncology and radiation oncology departments at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Tenet Massachusetts CEO Carolyn Jackson announced that the hospital was in negotiations with Tufts Medical to oversee the Cancer Center.

The Mayor spoke at the hearing that the hospital and said the announcement was not shared with him before hand. The announcement was about negotiations only, no official deal has been inked. According to documents submitted to the state, the closure could come as early as Halloween.
