Massachusetts Nurses Association Endorses Shepard For State Representative

FRAMINGHAM – Margareth Shepard has been endorsed by the Massachusetts Nurses Association in her campaign for state representative.

“The Massachusetts Nurses Association is excited to announce its endorsement of Margareth Shepherd for State Representative in the newly created 6^th Middlesex District,” said Katie Murphy, practicing ICU nurse, President of the MNA, and Framingham resident. “As a community activist, Margareth has supported issues important to MNA nurses and healthcare professionals and our patients, and we look forward to working with Margareth as she continues her advocacy on Beacon Hill.”

The Massachusetts Nurses Association is the largest union and professional association of registered nurses and health professionals in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the third largest in the country.  The union represents more than 23,000 members working in 85 health care facilities, including 51 acute care hospitals, as well as a growing number of membersworking in schools, public health departments, visiting nurse associations, and state agencies.

Shepard is running to be the state representative for the 6^th Middlesex District, comprised primarily of South and Downtown Framingham.
