FRAMINGHAM – Joyce “Carol” Ladd of Framingham, passed away at the age of 89.

Vibrant and full of life, she was always the life of the party no matter where she was, whether playing Bingo, making new friends, or diving off the dock fully-clothed at the Lake… just because!

After graduating from Colorado Women’s College, she returned to Great Falls, Montana, where she
was originally from. There in Great Falls in 1954, she met and married Peter T. Ladd, a handsome air force Lieutenant (who predeceased her in 2019). They would move to Waco, Texas, and eventually to Framingham, where they raised their family.

She also would go on to earn a teaching degree from Framingham State College.

With a green thumb herself and for many years known as The Seed Lady, she worked for the Ferry Morse Seed Company for many years, and helped uncountable people in their gardens.

She is survived by her daughter Kelly Maloney (David), and her son Peter Ladd, Jr. (Amy), and four wonderful grandchildren who were the apple of her eye: Tommy, Alison, Jack and Sam.She is also survived by many nieces and nephews of whom she was so proud.

No funeral arrangements have been made at this time.

A graveside service will be held in Epping, New Hampshire, at a later date.

Donations in Carol’s name may be sent to:
