SHREWSBURY – Framingham High’s outdoor track & field team competed at the MIAA Division 1 meet over Memorial Day Weekend.

The Flyers brought home three championship titles – Abby Desmarias in the 400-meter hurdles, Sam Burgess in the 2-mile event, and the girls won the 4X100 relay event.

They all advance to the Meet of Champions next weekend at Westfield State University.

Several Flyers had personal best times at the Division 1 meet, said coached Ed Crowley.

Ella Terranova finished 9th overall with a personal record best of 60.85 in the 400.

Maddie Jones ran a 13.24 in the 100-meter dash.

Marie Scanlon was the best freshmen in the 110-meter hurdles at 17.48 seconds. Flyer Maggie Spring had a personal best time of 17.64 seconds in the same event.

For the boys, Elija Fevrier ran a 11.43 in the 100-meter dash.

Christian Marshall was the top top freshmen in the 110-meter hurdles finishing in 17.16 seconds.

In the 4 X 800 relay, Framingham finished a respectable 13th, with a back up filling in due to injury, said Coach Crowley, who singled out the lead off lap by senior Shand Seiffert, which was a personal best 2.02 minutes.

The Framingham 4X100 relay team crushed their seed position and finished with their best time all season in 44.67 seconds, said Coach Crowley. Sprinters were Fevrier, Subramaniyam, Silva, Marshall.
