SUDBURY – Geoffrey O’Neill Ventura, a passionate family man and outdoorsman passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022, in Sudbury. He was 66 years old. 

Whether attacking the ski slopes in Vermont, windsurfing the waters of Newport, RI or mountain biking over the Blue Hills in Milton, Geoff lived life in perpetual motion.  He built a cadre of life-long friends who roared at his antics, loved his raucous laughter and treasured his loyalty. Geoff adored his children, prioritizing their school, sports and creative activities. He loved fiercely and never missed a family event that included his cousins from the O’Neill, Oullette and Driscoll clans.

 He was born in Key West, FL where his father was stationed in the Navy.  The family subsequently settled in Framingham  The second of seven siblings, and eldest son of Don Ventura, an executive with IBM and Dolores O’Neill, a mother and horticulturist, Geoff attended the Fay School in Southboro and Framingham South High School where he was a two-letter varsity athlete competing in hockey and lacrosse.  He graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Business Administration, also playing Division 1 Lacrosse.

He began his sales career with Exxon Office Systems in Boston and thrived in various roles at Flextronics and other technology firms, later switching gears to become a Director of Channel Sales for Crocs, Inc., In addition to a busy sales career, Geoff coached for Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League.

He is survived by his son, Cameron Ventura, of Milton, stepdaughter Victoria Hasenfuss of Seattle, WA and his former spouse and mother of his children Ann Doggett, of Milton.  He is also survived by his sisters Meg Ventura of East Hampton, NY, Shane Ventura of Marcellus, NY, Connie Lippert of New York, NY and Jenny Golding of Franklin, as well as brothers Don Ventura of London, England and John Ventura of Weston, CT along with 21 cherished nieces and nephews.  

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Newport, Rhode Island.
