FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police arrested a Framingham Man this weekend after he shot a man in the stomach with his BB gun from a third floor window.

Police were called to Pine Street for a report of a fight, said Deputy Police Chief Sean Riley.

Upon arrival, police spoke with a victim and witnesses, who identified the shooter and told police where he lives, said the Deputy Police Chief.

The victim was shot in the stomach, but refused medical attention, said the Deputy Chief Riley.

Police later arrested at 12:09 a.m. on May 15, Franklin Vargas Mejia, 41, of 38 Hayes Street, third floor in Framingham.

He was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon (BB gun), malicious destruction of property $1,200, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and an outstanding warrant.

“Suspect is accused of shooting his BB Gun from a 3rd floor window,” said Deputy Police Chief Riley.

Besides the individual injured, “siding on the house was dented and damaged” as a result of the BB gun.
