BOSTON – Switzerland’s Manuela Schär won her fourth Boston Marathon today, April 18.

With a time of 1:41:08 she easily won the women’s wheelchair division.

In 2017, Schär set a women’s wheelchair world record (1:28:17) when she won the first of her titles in Boston (2019, 2021).

She finished 5:12 ahead of second-place Susannah Scaroni.

Schär won the October 2021 Boston Marathon race by nearly 15 minutes.

Today was her 15th marathon title.

For finishing first she earned a $62,500 prize.

Daniel Romanchuk, 23, led for 23 of the 26.2 miles to win the men’s wheelchair division today.

His Boston Marathon time was 1:26:58.

Second place finisher Aaron Pike completed the 26.2 milke course at 1:32:49.
