MILTON – The Framingham State University baseball team hit a pair of home runs as the Rams shutout Curry 8-0 Tuesday afternoon non-conference action at Valley Diamond in Milton.

With the shut out victory, Framingham State Rams improve to 5-11.

Curry College drops to 7-8 overall.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

  • The Rams got on the board in the top of the first inning on a two-run homer to left by Kennedy Wilson. 
  • The Rams added four more in the top of the third pushing the lead to 6-0. Lucas Basile crossed the plate first scoring on a wild pitch and Jacob Buontempo followed with a two run double to right. Joseph Fasolino capped the inning with an RBI single to center.

  • Fasolino added a solo home run to center in the sixth and a Cam Gilroy sacrifice fly capped the Rams scoring in the top of the eighth. 
  • Vincent LoGuidice earned the win on the mound going seven shutout innings allowing just eight hits with a strikeout. 
  • Teaghin Andre tossed an inning and a third of scoreless relief allowing just one hit with three strikeouts, while Ryan Morry picked up the final two outs of the game via strikeouts. 
  • Ryan Boyle finished the game 4-for-5 at the plate with a double and two runs scored, while Fasolino finished the game 3-for-4 with a run scored, two RBI, a double and a homer. 

UP NEXT: The Rams are back in action on Friday when they host Bridgewater State at 3:30 p.m.
