FRAMINGHAM – A GoFundMe page has been started to help the Hancock family.

The fundraiser is to help “Jared Hancock’s children who tragically and unexpectedly lost their father from an accident,” on Sunday, wrote GoFundMe organizer Julie Stande, his sister.

Hancock, 39, died from a fall on Sunday, March 20, at his Hiram Road home.

“Massachusetts State Police Detectives responded to his residence on March 20, 2022 at approximately 7:30 pm. Upon arrival police located a male in his 30s deceased in the home.  The investigation is ongoing, no foul play is suspected,” said the Middlesex County District Attorney’s office on Tuesday.

Hancock headed Surefire Creative Studios in Lowell, which he co-founded in 2005.

Surefire issued this statement on Monday: “It is with great sadness that we write this to inform you of the passing of our beloved Jared Hancock, co-founder and CEO of Surefire Creative Studios. Along with his role at Surefire, Jared will be remembered as an amazing father, son, brother, mentor and friend to many people.”

Hancock was a Grammy nominated producer who has worked on songwriting with major label artists like Bebe Rexha, Ne-Yo, and Jordan Knight.

Surefire was nominated for a Grammy in 2012.

In 2014, Hancock performed music from some of his projects with John Williams on piano at Carnegie Hall in New York.

“These funds will help pay for mortgage payments for their house, utilities, and education related costs for the children,” wrote Stande.

Around 6 p.m. today, March 21, about $4,000 has been raised.

“As you all know, Jared was an amazing father, friend, son, brother, uncle, mentor and the list goes on. His children were his whole world. Any and all donations are much appreciated to help take care of his amazing children,” wrote Stande.

The Hancock children attend Dunning Elementary, McCarthy Elementary, and Walsh Middle School.
