MARLBOROUGH – Mark Gregory Tolan, 62, of Marlborough, died Friday, March 11, 2022, at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after a long illness.

He is the son of Anna Connie (Nordheim/Tolan) Harris and the son of the late Edward T. Tolan, Sr.

Mark was predeceased by his brothers, Edward T. Tolan, Jr., Steven K. Tolan and Richard Tolan and his step father, Charles J. Harris.  Besides his mother, he is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and several life long friends from childhood.  He held them all very dear to his heart.

Mark was born and raised in Marlborough and was a member of Saint Elizabeth Episcopal Church in Sudbury.  He was a graduate of Marlborough High in 1977.  He was very active in several sports while in high school. 

Mark also attended Nichols College from 1977 through 1978 where he studied business administration.

Mark proudly joined the military in 1989 and served in the Army Reserve as a medic.

Mark was a hard worker and held numerous jobs throughout his life.  His most recent job was at Post Road Auto Parts in Marlborough.  He retired in September 2021.

Mark will undoubtedly be remembered for his warm gentle smile, his laid back nature and great sense of humor.

There will be a graveside service by Reverend Andrew Suitter-Bentley on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 111 a.m. at Hope Cemetery, 119 Webster Street, Worcester MA 01603.
