FRAMINGHAM – With a snowstorm forecasted for overnight into Friday, Mayor Charlie Sisitsky has made the decision to close City Hall, the Framingham Public Libraries, and the Callahan Center on Friday, February 25.

Essential workers will be working remotely.

Obviously, police, fire, & public works will be working.

Framingham Public Schools are already closed this week due to school vacation week.

The National Weather Service out of Boston/Norton has issued a winter storm watch from Thursday night into Friday night, February 24.

Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations of 8 to 12 inches possible in central, eastern, and northeasternMassachusetts.

Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Snowfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour will be likely for a period of time around the Friday morning commute.

Storm will start with heavy snow during pre-dawn hours, then changes to a wintry mix south of Mass Pike.
