FRAMINGHAM – Police arrested a Waltham man at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center Saturday morning, February 19 on assault & other charges.

Police were called to 1657 Worcester Road at 7:20 a.m. for a disturbance.

At 7:35 a.m. officers arrested James Petito, 56, of 102 Pond Street of Waltham.

He was charged with disorderly conducting, assault & battery on a police officer, and resisting arrest.

“Petito had an issue at the hotel and pushed two employees,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“He then struck a responding officer before being taken into custody,” said Lt. Mickens.

The officer was not injured, said the police spokesperson.
