Framingham State Freshman Forward Okafor Named MASCAC Rookie of the Week

FRAMINGHAM – Freshman forward J.D. Okafor (Boston) has been named the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Men’s Basketball Rookie of the Week for the week ending February 6.

Okafor earns his first MASCAC weekly honors after averaging 14.3 points and 7.3 rebounds per game in a 1-2 week for the Rams. 

Okafor tallied 20 points on 7-of-12 from the floor (58%) and added seven rebounds and two blocks in the Rams 68-60 victory at Fitchburg State.

Okafor closed the week with a double double of 14 points and 10 rebounds in setback to the Falcons.
