FRAMINGHAM – Framingham police officers arrested a Southbridge man on a charge of drunk driving, threatening police, assault and battery on a police officer, and other charges at 3:50 a.m. on December 31.
Police arrested at Salem End Road at 3:50 a.m. Jason Alvarez, 40, of 135 Marcy Street of Southbridge.
“Officers responded to a motor vehicle in the road with two occupants that appeared to be passed out,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.
“Alvarez was subsequently arrested for operating under the influence of alcohol,” said Lt. Mickens. “During the arrest Alvarez made several threats and was assaultive towards officers.”
Alvarez was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, (second offense), resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, three count of assault and battery on a police officer, and two counts of threats to commit a crime.
