1 There were COVID cases reported on the Framingham High girls varsity basketball team, Framingham High boys varsity basketball team, and Framingham High wrestling team which postponed their season openers over the weekend.

Tonight’s basketball games against Natick High both home and away also have been postponed.

2. Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold a community hour tonight at 5 on Zoom on how COVID is impacting MetroWest Medical Center.

3. CITY of FRAMINGHAM meetings:

  • Framingham Council on Aging at 1:30 p.m. Mayor Spicer is expected to attend as part of her farewell tour. The City’s outgoing Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Officer Maritsa Barros is also expected to attend.
  • Keefe School Committee: Budget Subcommittee at 6 p.m.
  • Framingham City Council: Finance Subcommittee at 7 p.m.
  • Framingham Board of Health at 7 p.m.

4. According to the Mayor’s publicly posted schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer does not have the Council on Aging meeting obn her public schedule but her Community Hour Zoom is on her public schedule.

5. Tonight the public can meet the two finalists for Assistant Superintendent of Diversity, Equity, & Community Development. They are Framingham Public Schools Community Development Director Tiffany Little and Wellesley Principal Geraldo Martinez.

There will be a meeting the Candidates Forum for all community members virtually on Zoom on Tuesday, December 14 from 6 to 7:10 p.m.

Community Members are encouraged to attend the webinar (Passcode: 395687); there will be live interpretation in Spanish, Portuguese, and American Sign Language (ASL).

Attendees will be able to hear from the candidates, ask them questions, and will then be presented with a survey (that will be available in English, Spanish, and Portuguese) to offer feedback to the Superintendent of Schools regarding each candidate
