1 Today is Giving Tuesday. Created in 2012, as the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, it is a “global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.” During the day individuals are asked to donate to their favorite charities and organizations.

2. Harmony Grove Elementary School has seen a spike in COVID cases in November. yesterday 7 cases were reported at the school. In total 15 cases were reported in the district, the first day back from the Thanksgiving break.

In the last 10 days, which includes the long weekend off, Harmony Grove has reported 17 cases of COVID> It is unknown what percentage is student and what percentage is staff.

3. According to the Mayor’s publicly posted schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold a community hour today at 5 p.m. on the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine for those ages 5-19.

Guest speakers will be the founder of the Community Coronvarus Outreach Group Nicole Doak and Framingham Health Director Alex DePalo. All are invited to attend.

Last night, although not on the Mayor’s public schedule she attended the City Council’s ordinance & rules subcommittee meeting.

4. The City of Framingham’s first-ever Chief Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion officer has tendered her resignation.
